The Indian Rhino is endangered, with fewer than 2700 individuals remaining in the wild. The rhino once inhabited areas from Pakistan to Burma and may have even roamed in China. But because of human influence their range has shrunk and now they only exist in small populations in northeastern India and Nepal. It is confined to the tall grasslands and forests in the foothills of the Himalayas.

train journeys are filled with memories...that of childhood...various kinds of tasty and not so pleasant foods...that stale tea which you tasted at an unknown station in Madhya Pradesh...that moment when you almost missed the train as you went down to get hold of that ever disappearing 'chai-wala'...that distinct smell of dust, food, water, urinal all mixed up when you get down at our legendary railway platforms...that sight of people sleeping on your berth when you came back from washroom...and the legacy of dirty toilets in trains...aah...you feel like holding on to your exit routes until you reached a familiar cleanliness at the destination...yet travels in train fascinate more than flights or the bumpy bus rides...a train trip is almost like confluence of regions, cultures, palates, languages, egos, dislikes, pleasures, discomforts, abuses, bribe behaviour etc...always leaves you thinking after a journey!
